Silver cuff bracelet with a super high grade piece of Corvette fordite. This amazing material is a by-product of the motor industry, where many layers of enamel paint would build up, and get baked hard, inside booths where cars were spray painted. It was discovered that this waste product could be cut and polished like stone, revealing intricate patterns in the different layers. This particular piece comes from the Corvette plant in Kentucky and is the most sought after variety. It really is a piece of history, as modern production methods do not produce this material.
The fordite cabochon is 25mm x 28mm. Bracelet opening is 55mm x 45mm which is roughly a small mans size or medium ladies.
